There are two main button types.
- Stop Button Assembly
- Individual Stop Buttons
Stop Button Assembly
All buttons can be combined into one assembly. Two screws are required to remove the entire assembly from your machine.
Each button is equipped with a connector, which is attached to the main board of the assembly. The connector is then attached to the Pachislo machine.
Remove the connector from the machine, and then unplug it.
You can remove the board from most cases by either removing one screw, a few clips, or both. In addition, you can either remove the plastic nut holding the buttons in place or press on the two clips to release them.
Use a small flat screwdriver to remove clips from buttons. Gently push the clip through the front of your assembly by pressing in slightly on one clip. DO NOT FORCE IT. Do not force it.
Do the same thing with the other clip. It should now pop out of the front.
Individual Stop Buttons
The Individual Stop Button is the second type. They are not part of an entire assembly in this instance. Instead, each one is attached to the machine individually. Follow the same steps to unplug each one from the board.
Repairing Buttons
Buttons can become stuck and won’t push in or stick in, which is the most common problem. This problem can be solved by not having to replace them or even removing them.
Spray silicone. If possible, press the button. Spray a small amount of silicone spray on the buttons’ corners and quickly wipe off any excess. Use the button for a few seconds to allow the silicone to penetrate the area around it.
Replacing Buttons
This can be challenging. Although you won’t be able to find new buttons, some buttons made from scrapped parts may be available online. Not only will you need to match the style and size of the buttons, but also the connector.
