Department/District/Post Meeting Changes

District Meeting Schedule for 2011-2012

Post 2554 new meeting place is at the Sultan United Methodist Church 212 Birch St Sultan WA  98294.  The meeting date is still the 2nd Thursday of the month but the time is at 7:30 instead of 7:00.

The meeting site for the February 18, 2012 meeting hosted by Post 6853, Chelan will be held at the Mason Grange Hall in Manson.  Times are the same.

District 3 meeting has been changed from April 8, 2012 to April 7, 2012 due to Easter Sunday.

District 12 May meeting is at Onalaska Post 12012.

Post 1474 will be meeting at 1800 hrs on the third Wednesday of each month.

Post 3057 is changing meetings to one (1) time per month on the first Tuesday at 1900 hrs.

Post 7480 will now be meeting on the 2nd Monday of the month at Memorial Hall at 1830 hrs.

Bruce F. Matheson, Post 7498 & Ladies Auxiliary will now be meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 12 noon.

Post 9079 has a new meeting location: Real Life Family Center 17708 28th Ave. E. Spanaway, WA.

VFW Post 12028 meetings held on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 1000 hrs. – Now held at the Amboy Territorial Park Meeting Room.

Fundraisers

Post 51 Texas Hold'em every Wednesday except the 2nd Wednesday of the month, which is Post/Aux. meeting night.

Post 51 Bar Bingo begins February 18, 2012. Afterwards there will be Bar Bingo Tuesdays and Saturdays.

 

Memorial Day and Other Celebrations

VFW District One and Auxiliary District Meeting and Joint Memorial Service. March 10th, 2012. Event will be at the Alderwood Boys & Girls Club 19719 24th Ave W #10, Lynnwood hosted by Post 1040.

Post 7392 Men's Auxiliary Installation Dinner, February 25, 2012.

Arlington AFJROTC will be hosting Drill and Rifle competition Sat Feb 25th from 08:00 to 16:00. Volunteers and spectators are welcome. They could use donations of gift baskets, raffle items, or volunteer time as a judge, safety observer or score keeper. Recently recruited Commander Randy Brasfield of the Marysville NJROTC will be in attendance at this event. Both teams could use our support.

Post 1561 will be hosting Service officer training Sat. March 17th, 9 AM to 2 PM at SERVPRO. The commander requests all Post members attend if possible. This is the Post's core business. The more Post members know about it the better they can help serve their fellow comrades. Instruction will include:

o        Dental Trauma & Care

o        Incarcerated Veterans

o        Reduction & offsets

o        Homeless Veterans

o        Benefits & regulations for Nat'l Guard & Reserve

This training session will also be a celebration of the Post's 85th birthday.
